On this page we show some of Miss Fernande's postcards, which are published by unidentified ateliers or publishers. At least the signatures don't give any reliable clue to the primary photographer.
The postcards of Miss Fernande on several pages show, that sometimes photos from the same shootings were published by various publishers or at least under various acronyms/signatures, like i.e. GA, GP, AW or CB.
Most probably the photographer of all these photos was always Jean Agélou (or at least his brother Georges Agélou), because we see some of these cards here also published with his own signature JA or J.A. Paris.
The photos show typical backgrounds and props of Jean Agélou's studio. Of course other photographers could have used his studio too, but the arrangement of the backgrounds and the props, and the poses of his model Miss Fernande makes it more likely in our opinion, that Jean Agélou was the main photographer of Miss Fernande's studio photo sessions.
In recent years we learned that there are many of non nude Fernande postcards by various publishers like Astor and Croissant. Here we have two by Rapid and Bellone. In the near future we will put these together on a separate page. |
We also know this postcard published with the signatur GP 231, so it is most probably from the atelier of Jean and Georges Agélou.
The signature AW Paris is most probably referring to Atelier Walery, Paris. |
AW Paris 109 (Atelier Walery?)

AW Paris - 112

Another rare postcard of Miss Fernande with the unusual signature AW Paris (Atelier Walery, Paris ?) |
There are no informations about the photographer or publisher of this postcard.
Miss Fernande was also posing in front of a mirror in some series published by GA and GP, but this mirror looks different. |

unknown photographer/publisher (Jean Agélou?)
|
Neither the front, nor the back of this postcard gives any hint for the photographer or publisher. |
This postcard shows the signature BG or GB, unsusally placed on the left corner of the card.
With a more close look, it seems to be printed on a white logo or number.
The background is the same like on other postcards of the GA series shown on this page, but it is the only with Fernande on a sofa instead a chair.
The publisher logo may also be "Celebrities of Bron".

GB (Jean Agélou ?)

unknown publisher - Meditation - *** 3987
|
This postcard is unusual for a Fernande postcard, because the background looks completely different than the photos from the Jean Agélou studio.
It looks unreal from the perspectives and it is obvious, that the photo of Fernande must have been cut out from a different photo and artificially placed on this background, which looks more like a painting or wall paper. There exist some more of these fantasy postcards of Fernande created later by other postcard publishers.
On the front and the backside there is no further information about the publisher or photographer.

This postcard of Miss Fernande with the oriental props is a vintage reprint of the photo originally published in the Jean Agélou series JA 61. |

Miss Fernande - Rapid 530 - Le Baiser
|
This postcard, published by Rapid, shows Miss Fernande in the same style like her postcards from publisher Astor. |
This rare winterly scene "Bonne Année" of
Miss Fernande was published by Bellone.
The style again reminds a lot of the postcards
from publisher Astor.
This is so far the one and only postcard we found
from Bellone.

Stebbing Paris - F.K-Paris 261 (Miss Fernande ?)
|
With this postcard by the studio Stebbing - F.K Paris, we we are not completely sure about the model being Miss Fernande. The style of postcard and the dress looks a little similar to her cards by publisher Astor.
