The Reutlingers with their photo studio at 21. Boulevard Montmartre, Paris, which was founded by Charles Reutlinger (1816-1891?) in 1850, were one of the most famous portrait photographers of the Belle Epoque in France. The studio reached the peak of its success and reputation under the directorship of Charles' nephew Léopold Reutlinger (1860-1937), who was leading the photostudio from 1890 until 1937.
