Alain Fleig's large format book about Oriental photography is one of the first comprehensive books about this topic and a standard work. A plenty of information is accompanied by numerous large format images, mostly from the author's collection. The book closes with biographical data about the most important photographers of the Maghreb and Middle Orient.
Published in 1997 it would deserve a second edition, to implement the available new knowledge about Oriental photographers, i.e. Jean Geiser.
Currently this wonderful book is only available as an e-book, or at second hand book stores.
